A Taste Of Jazz Concert Series

Join us for a new kind of combo! A Taste of Jazz Concert Series at continues on the second Thursdays of each month at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center and features entertaining and educational encounters with the musical genre, accompanied by wine tastings.

In our continued journey about the development of jazz, Martin Hand and the Gold coast Jazz Quartet will play the music from the end of the swing era to the beginning of Bebop into the Cool Jazz era, demonstrating the stylings of jazz artists from Lee Morgan, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Clifford Brown and Chet Baker. Steve Ahern, trumpeter, will be the special guest artist.

Installation artist Ya Levy La’ford, best known for her signature use of wall-to-wall recurring geometric, returns to South Florida’s Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Center activating the exhibition space with a large-scale installation to debit new virtual reality installations along with geometric sculptures relishing in abstract forms, imagery and reflections.

South Florida based mixed-media artist Lori Arbel is an active art maker in the sense that she doesn’t use an easel, but instead she lays the surface on the table of her studio, constantly moving around it, working from each side and angle until the artwork is complete.

Art Lit 2020
Remembering the Past Envisioning the Future

Broward County Library and the City of Pompano Beach present ArtLit 2020: Remembering the Past, Envisioning the Future. This unique, free community event for all ages will take place at the Pompano Beach Library & Cultural Center, 50 W Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach. ArtLit 2020 is a community celebration of art and literature with a playful explosion of live chalk art, canvas art, music, virtual reality demonstrations, interactive experiences, food trucks, and fun for all ages. Free live art creation and entertainment.

Gospel Fest: Icons of Gospel

This concert features a lineup of extraordinary gospel artists including headliner John P. Kee, who has earned accolades as one the most popular contemporary gospel artists of his generation, regularly peaking near the top of the Billboard gospel charts.
