Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) in Pompano Beach presents Building a Feminist Archive: Cuban Women Photographers in the US; an exhibition that features ten women artists whose works in photography provide a glimpse into diverse histories of migration, community, activism and resistance. The work will be on view in the Central and East Galleries from November 20 through December 21, 2019. The free opening reception is December 6 from 6 pm to 10 pm during Old Town Untapped.

Pérez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation has announced the inaugural grantees of The Pérez CreARTE Grants Program – an initiative dedicated to supporting South Florida’s creative ecosystem. Launched in May, hundreds of applicants responded to the open call for submissions and ultimately 23 grantees across a range of artistic causes were awarded a total of $2 million.

Harvey Talks Art, Passion For Sea Life

The marine biologist who gained international recognition for his paintings of sea creatures, spoke Wednesday at the Palm Beach State College Foundation’s sixth annual STEAM luncheon. He took the more than 500 attendees on a journey through his 32-year career. The event was held at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts Cohen Pavilion, which was decorated with pictures of coral reefs and sea life.
